About IWF Conference

The Interdenominational Women’s Fellowship (IWF) is a two and half day conference devoted to assembling women for the optimization of spiritual refreshing, renewal, and replenishment while transcending denominational, generational, experiential, and cultural demarcations.
Inaugurated in November of 1993, a vision conceptualized by Evangelist Brenda Buckrham; undergirded and supported by four Kingdom Co-laborers, IWF materialized. What was initially designed to be a one-time event quickly morphed into an annual occurrence. With irrefutable demonstrations of signs and wonders, the manifestation of God’s power revealed with purpose and plentitude, the awakening of dormant spiritual gifts and callings within attendees, and the implementation of those gifts following IWF’s initial conclusion, the necessity and hunger for such a gathering was solidified.

Noted throughout the years have been testimonies of divine healings; reversals of terminal illnesses and incurable diseases; the acknowledgment and acceptance of spiritual gifts such as preaching and teaching; ecclesiastical and ministerial elevation; the formation of community non-profit organizations; the development of community outreach entities impacting society’s marginalized and vulnerable populations; initiatives to combat HIV/AIDS; organizations addressing domestic violence; homelessness; teen/young adult mentoring; teen pregnancy safe havens; evangelistic ministries within women’s correctional facilities; individual entrepreneurial and business developments; and the initiation/ expansion of diverse ministries within local churches and congregations.

While IWF’s primary focus over the course of its two and a half day gathering is spiritual impartation, it also provides a unified setting where women of diverse geographical regions foster new and ongoing relationships with sisters of like faith. Provided is an opportunity to affirm the inestimable value that women share among the sisterhood facilitating bonds of friendship, mutual support, and the creative exchange of ideas and information.

IWF boasts only in the Lord with principled fundamentals underscoring the centrality of Christ; a consecrated posture; biblical convictions; and a communal approach.

More than a moderate retreat or emotional experience, IWF endeavors to equip women for ministry with a depth deemed incalculable and an impact regarded as eternal.
